Reflection
How have I changed by this class?
From week 1 until now I feel I have learned so much and can bring so many tech tools into my classroom when the time comes. Before starting the class, I really didn't have any expectations or well I really didn't know what to expect. Okay, actually that's a lie I did expect that our teacher was a crazy person...she said she has never had a cup of coffee. So, immediately I think what is wrong with this woman? And then in class, she tells us she hasn't had sweets in an outrageous amount of time, and then my feelings were validated...our teacher is crazy!
Just kidding, she's great...she has made learning not feel like learning and I have truly enjoyed every second of her class and I am sad that it is coming to an end. Not just on the tech side of things do I feel like I have learned a lot, but just overall as a whole how I would like to conduct my class. I love all the different ways that she has given us to start and end our classes. How she is right in the mix of all us students sitting on top of the desk and not at the front of the room. How we get candy every class even though she doesn't eat sweets the self-control on this woman should be award-winning. I am a personal trainer and tell my clients don't eat this stuff, but you put candy in front of me, nu uh...game over! How we have been able to go outside or go in the hallway to work as a group. It's all stuff that hasn't been typical of classes I have had in the past and that is why I love it.
Then, on the tech side of things what I have learned is incredible. Never did I think I would know how to make a google site or a WeVideo. Then using the curation sheets, the forms and making the quizzes this is all stuff that I will take with me and apply it in my classroom. Each class, we were learning multiple tools and taught how to apply it which I found extremely helpful. I also, love that by creating my google site any and all work moving forward will all be in one place on my portfolio or I can save it to my google drive. I feel like overall my life was made easier by knowing how to use and navigate these tools. As well, as on the social side of things now being able to connect with educators across the world through Twitter, I feel like I was introduced to a whole new world.
Mrs. Darche, I just wanted to say thank you for all you have taught me and sorry for calling you crazy ;)
That's all for now!
Danielle
